Bilingual version: English & Ukrainian Audio

  • Encouraging independent thought and discussion among teachers and pupils
Read I Listen I Record

A bilingual version of The Fact Factory was created to empower and inspire young Ukrainian children in terms of social inclusion and accessibility, as well as provide them with a platform to support their English-language learning in schools and at home, not to mention with a really fun magazine to enjoy in their native language as well as their new.

Every issue is professionally recorded by a talented team of child voice-over actors from Ukraine.

Teh text is in English, but children can choose to listen to the magazine in English and Ukrainian.

The Fact Factory is designed, written and recorded with the needs of Ukrainian children in mind.

The Fact Factory offers an accessible reading experience for Ukrainian children with limited English.

A bilingual version (English text, English & Ukrainian audio) for Ukrainian children

The 12 magazines of the series are printed on heavy duty paper (170gsm as opposed to the magazine standard 90/100 gsm) so they possess the quality of a book in terms of production, durability, weight, etc. Each title, section, text box and word on every page (English language) is embedded with ‘invisible’ audio codes. These audio codes are activated by the accompanying reading pen and allow readers to listen and read along with the six characters of the series (all voiced by real English-speaking and Ukrainian children). Children activate the audio by tapping the pen on the audio icons
strategically placed on every encoded section of every page. Children will also see a second language icon alongside the English language one on the front cover. When they activate this with their pen, they will be able to listen to every word on every page in their native tongue (Ukrainian) which, too, will be voiced by real Ukrainian-speaking children.

For Readers with Dyslexia

For readers with Visual Impairment

Developed in collaboration with the National Council for the Blind of Ireland, The Fact Factory includes raised markers throughout to enable visually impaired readers locate and activate the embedded audio codes using the G-Talk 3 pen.

Recording your Reading

With the G-Talk3 pen, readers can press record on the pen and practise reading, answer questions and leave spoken comments. These recordings can be saved to the magazine and played back by the child, or deleted.

Recorded by Children for Children

The Fact Factory is professionally recorded by a talented team of child voice-over actors from around the world. No A.I. or computer-generated voice over is used, helping creating a real connection between characters and readings.
